Some of the exhibits and docks on show.

Paul the Comm's, USS Columbus.

You've seen this one of Alan's on Etherow Waters a few times, can't get enough of a good thing can you, I say!.

If anyone wants to send me more pictures of this event, I will gladly add them to this post.
Please edit them to a reasonable size though!.

Message from the Commodore, 9.9.2017.

Club 500
The committee have decided to relax the use of club 500 type boats outside of organised races and time trials. Their use is now allowed  for testing and setting up purposes at any time other than Saturdays and Sundays. Please give consideration to wildlife and slower boats when doing so.
The ban on very fast boats is still in place.

Paul the Comm.

Thursday Sail 7th September 2017.

I think it was a good decision that the committee made on cancelling the club meeting on the 13th September due to the road resurfacing in George St has it would probably run over the finish date, well Geoff was right as on the first night's work the workmen put a hole in the water main right on the bend up to the Andrew Arms!.
So it meant the the locals, as well as having a sleepless night got up to find they had no water as well!.

On to the good stuff.

This is the latest model of Eric P's

Makes a nice boat does Eric.

That's him in the middle, not showing the plans for his model but his latest project, a classic MG!

Still showing it off!.

Some more of Al's war ship HMS Ramilles

Can't get too much of a good thing can you!.

A lot of nice detail here.

Can never get a shot of the front of the yachtsmen has they are always so keen and concentrated on their sailing

Big Al seems to be enjoying his sailing more now without the weight of the committee duties on his shoulders!.
No quite in focus as he was dancing about, surprising Eric.

Wheres the top?.

Here it is waiting whilst Steam Boat Bill get's steam up!.
Lovely model!.

Urgent Notice - Club Night - 13 September 2017.

The Club has been informed that Stockport Highways Department are
proposing to undertake major road works, overnight from 6 p.m., on
George Street, starting this week, which will result in road closures
and probable lack of access to the Etherow car park. These works are due
to finish on September 13, the date of the next Club Night, but may
[probably will ?!!] over-run.

Consequently, the Committee, at its meeting last night, decided to
CANCEL the Club Night on 13 September, and the Club House will NOT be
opened.

The Club Auction Night, which was scheduled for that meeting, will now
be held on Wednesday 27 September.

The talk on batteries, which had been scheduled for 27 September, will
now be held at a later date.

The Committe are sorry to take this action, but consider it better than
having everybody turn up, and nowhere to park.

If you are in contact with other Club members who do not have Email,
please pass this information on to them, so that they do not have a
wasted journey on that night.

Many Thanks
Geoff Garside [Wearing my Membership Secretary hat].
