New Club 500 Boat Design
John Senior, who is one of the Club 500's most successful racers, has produced a new design for a Club 500 racing boat, which should be at least as competitive as most existing designs, to encourage more members to take up fast electric boat racing.
He will be building this boat over the winter, ready for the 2025 season, and has published the plans for others to use as well. He will be adding further information as the build progresses.
The plans comprise 14 sheets, of full size drawings, in PDF format, in both A2 and A4 sizes, together with detailed assembly advice.
These are available to download as a single compressed .ZIP file, which you will need to unzip.
To download the files, right click on the filename below, and select "Save as .."
Note added 22 December -
John Senior has reported a possible problem with scaling of print outs from the PDF plans. By default, the plans may not print at exact 100% scale, depending on which PDF display program you use, so if you want to use print outs as templates make sure you check the scaling first. You may have to juggle your print scaling settings.
John is trying to find a more elegant solution to this problem.
