A good night was had by all at the auction of Jim Browns stuff, but as one get's older you realise you can't please everyone!, and on the whole it was a good night.

 I hope Jim was happy with the result for his sales!.

 I'm sure everyone will join me in wishing him a happy new home, hopefully he will be able to get down to the lake now!, when the weather get's a bit warmer that it!!.

 This is a picture of our new illuminated club sign, will look proper posh at our next show stand hey!.

Also we will be having an auction of some bits and pieces of Jim Browns, as you might remember I posted that he was waiting for a ground floor flat and was selling most of his engineering/model equipment, (See the "For Sale" section)
At last he is on the move to a new ground floor flat and the auction date for some of his other Bitz and Bob's is 27th APRIL the last club night of the month!.

We had some wind for a change but not much?, Weather OK.  Six came to sail and no one dropped out, but Bob and I did get stuck in a birds nest!

A bit late with report still got man flu, weather a bit rough on Saturday so took down gazebo at 3.00pm although Lew Wallwork stayed Saturday night, we returned Sunday and sailed from the cars, here are a few pics!. The guy with his arms in the air is Mark the Organiser the other lad is Pablo his sidekick. a few enquires about membership so not a bad weekend, many thanks to all who attended. 

Don't need many guesses to see that this is one of John's beautiful models with a couple of new passengers for the occasion!.

Today at the lake as well as the usual yacht sailors there was a newish member Nigel who had brought his scratch built fishing boat, he had plenty of deck clutter on it and has its one of my pet likes I asked him about the crew and he said he intended to crew the boat but hadn't got round too it yet as he'd only just finished the model!.

Also there was Garth with his nice model Amenity!.

 

Plenty of detail again, as always with Garth's model's and lots of crew though not all working well!.

Giving it a bit of welly!

And last but not least there was Eric making good use of his lifting straps getting his 

model out of the water after a good days sail and weather to match!

So it was a good day all round though it took a few hours for the wind to get going for the yachtsmen, still you can't please everyone as most of you know by now!.

Al the Comm is down with Man Flu, which as you know is worse than the Female variety, think he got too cold at Bugsworth, I'm sure you will join me in wishing him a speedy recovery!.
