The Commodore has issued his Challenge for this year.


Where Did All the Landing Craft Go ?


At the end of WW2, there were a large number of Landing Craft which became surplus. Some were scrapped, but many were bought and converted to other uses.

Some became Houseboats. Some were used as small load carrying merchant boats. Some were used by the UN to deliver aid. Some were used for holiday expeditions. The list is almost endless.

Twenty years later, there were few left. So use your imagination to show us the fate of one of them, in around 1965. 

Chris Galloway has drawn an outline Hull plan to give you a start. This is based on a simplified scaled up version of one of Glynn Guest's free plans which appeared in Model Boats Magazine a few years ago.
