Nice sunny day at the lake today with some wind for the yachtsmen, so something for everyone today!.

Dave's tug.

Alan's coaster, which I remember won 1st prize in the Kit build section in 2006!, doesn't time fly when you are having fun!

Who does this remind you of?.

Eric's Presley's, 10 hatch coaster, by Model Slipway!

Hello,
I have created a club email address, mainly for use on literature to avoid using ones own personal address etc.
Please could you please add it to the contact us page of the club website. I amended it to the club's listing on the council website and a prospective member contacted us within the week so the system works !

The address is etherowmbc@gmail.com

Regards
Paul The Comm.

Wednesday at the lake,14.6.2017.

This Wednesday I accompanied Bob Abell to the lake to video two of his latest builds, The Silver mist a design by Vic Smeed and his controversial build Lady Joyce a design by Paul Thomason but with Bob's four 850 motors, as the propulsion, coupled to two props.
There were a couple of other members there with their yacht's as well.

A RTR

And a Comtessa.

This is Lady Joyce

And this is Silver Mist, as said a design by Vic Smeed though Bob doubled the size!

Unfortunately The Silver Mist broke down shortly after launch and you'll never guess why, we found a Poo Bag wrapped round the prop shaft. I'm all for cleaning up after your dog but to dispose of it in the lake is not on!.

The smoker!.

On the day a friend at the lake, gave us this old but well kept book, quite apt on the day we thought!.

So after the rescue it's on with the sailing of Lady Joyce.

Yacht's on the big lake.

Today at the lake there were quite a few of the members there, the sunny weather must have brought them out, even though the forecast wasn't very good.

Sailing on the big lake today as there was a bit more wind available.

George meets a couple of old friends, no doubt telling them all the pleasures of modelling and sailing!

Meanwhile back on our lake a few of the members enjoying the sunshine!.

Even Rob was there home from his travels.

Al the Comms boat.

The video today.

And its not all sat on Bum's, the old notice board came down today!, must have been a good job in its day as it was quite a struggle to move it!.
New one on the way.

You know when your getting old when:

The numbers in your little black book are all Doctors.

When the candles cost more than the cake.

Your ears are hairier than your head.

You sink your teeth into a steak and they stay there.

You have a party and the neighbours don't even realise.

Slack week at the lake,17-20th Jan.

Been slack at the lake this week in more ways than one!.
Tuesday and Thursday sailors abandoned their boats and most of them retired to the Cafe.
It was quite cold, but that doesn't usually deter these stalwarts, it was the lack of any wind at all!, on both days!

I heard that three of the lads had a trip to Housemartin Sails on the Wirral, and had a good time and got some good bargains there.

Our friends at Colwyn Bay MBC look as though they are getting stuck into their refurbishment at their new venue, the lake in the park next to the old lake we have been sailing on previously!.
Might be worth a trip to see their efforts, when the weather improves of course!.

My friend is engaged in a major custody battle. His wife doesn't want him and his mother won't have him back!.

If your born again do you end up with two bellybuttons/.

After Christmas & New Year, 2017.

Happy New Year to all our members, readers and
 Lakeside viewers.
........................................................................................................................
Looks nice on paper!, park been very busy over the holidays.

First sail 2017

Today at the lake as you can see by how the sailors are wrapped up it was quite cold and a bit of a breeze,  which whilst welcomed by the yachtsmen the wind chill factor seemed to make it a bit worse!

Not the North Atlantic, but quite cool at this end of the lake.

Steve's Louis Heloise.

The sailors had a slight breeze!.
