Quiz and Hot pot supper,Oct 2013

Last night was the Autumn Quiz and Hot pot supper and was run by our usual quizmaster Phil in his own master style, and here is his report to the site.

Hi Peter, Here we have the results for the quiz on Wednesday 23rd October 2013.

There were thirteen teams, the most we have had for a long time.

The winning team was ‘ALL SQUARE’ who finished with a score of 51. in second place was team ‘BAR FLIES’ with a score of 48. and the third team was ‘TWO HEADS’ with a score of 47.

 As Phil said a good turnout and more than usual amount of teams participating. 

The Hot pot was served first as most people had not have anything to eat since dinner time in anticipation of the usually good hot pot ordered by Mike the social Sec, at this stage we must thank the two ladies in the kitchen for their services and clean up afterwards.

Then it was eyes down for the first leg of questions.

Now to the more serious part of this post, it will shortly be time for the AGM and most of the people on the committee have done their term and many have done well in excess of that, so it is nomination time again, there will be a new Commodore in Alan the Breeze, but all the other positions are up for grabs, so if you feel you can fill one of the positions this year and help Alan make the next year as good as the last check out the nomination form below!.

This form is posted on the notice board in the lobby in the clubhouse, if you feel up to it, get proposed and seconded 

You will see that the closing Date is November 27th.

I'm sure you will join me in thanking the committee for their efforts over the past FAB-U-LOUS year!.
