Popular Sailing Times

 Popular Sailing Times

Although all Club members can sail at any time, a number of newer Club members have asked which days and times are the most popular for sailing so that they can visit at times when there are likely to be a number of other members on the water.

Listed below are details of those days on which particular groups normally meet up at the lake, and when a fair numbers of members are likely to be on the landing stage:

Sunday

The Yachting Group meet to race at 10.00 a.m.

Second Sunday of month          International One Metres

Third Sunday of month             Fiestas and DF65s

    Fourth Sunday of month           DF65s

Fifth Sunday of month              International One Metres

On the First Sunday of each month, the steering Competition series is held at 10.00 a.m.

Tuesday

The Yachting Group meet from 10 a.m. each week.

Wednesday

The Powered Boat Group meet from 12.00 noon each week.

Thursday

The Yachting Group meet from 10.00 a.m each week.

They can also sail on the big lake with the larger sized yachts.

Saturday

The Powered Boat Group meet from 12.00 noon, each week.

Twice a month, usually on the second and fourth Saturdays, the Club 500              Group race fast electric boats at 3.00 p.m.
