 Weather good, wind very light just!, five came to race.

R.I.P George Taylor, 15.10.2018.

I have been informed that George Taylor has passed away.

His funeral will be at Stockport crematorium on,

 Monday the 22nd Oct 2018 

at 12-15pm.

Change of date for quiz & hot pot.

Please note that the Committee has decided that because of Alan's funeral on that day the Quiz and Hot pot supper booked for the 10th October has been put back until the next club meeting  which will be the 24th October 2018.

So the 10th October will be a normal club night but no food!.

 Thank you so much for your kind messages - Alan's funeral will take place on Wednesday 10th October, 2.40pm at Macclesfield Crematorium Prestbury road SK10 3BU
The service will finish approximately 3.25pm 
Please come and join us at the Broken Cross Club, Fallibroome Rd, SK11 8TU afterwards.

R.I.P Al the Comm, 14th Sept 2018.

I'm sure that everyone will be as shocked as I was to be told by a member of the Committee that 

Alan Breeze collapsed today and wasn't able to be revived!.

This is all the news I have at the moment and as soon as I hear more I will publish it.
The Committee have stated that our commitment for a stand at the Etherow sailing club will be cancelled under the circumstance , nothing to stop anyone going on their own though to support the yacht club.

I try not to put my own views on this site and be impersonal, but on this occasion all I can say is that Al the Comm will be greatly missed at the club and by his many friends in the modelling community.
I met him only last week and had a good chat and a cuppa so it was a shock to hear this, such a nice man and so helpful to everyone!.

Yacht Club open day,

The sailing club are having an open day on the 15th September 2018, (a Saturday), they have asked us to put on a show.

So we are looking for members to bring their boats also volunteers to help put up a gazebo.

Will announce this at next meet, its a bit short notice but will try.

Yacht racing results of the second Quarter series.

I have have missed a few results however we have been very active on Tuesdays and Thursdays sailing the 1 metres and other big yachts.

The largest turnout being 12 one metre yachts.
