Neil Barton has just Emailed to say that it has been confirmed that Avian Bird Flu has arrived at Etherow - see below.

The wildlife group at Etherow has confirmed that Avian bird flu is now at Etherow. Please don't touch any wild fowl or birds and report any struggling or sick birds to the RSPB, Wendy Robinson on the Facebook group Friends of Etherow wildlife or myself .
Perhaps
we need to bring hand sanitiser with us when we sail. Avian bird flu is
usually transmitted by body fluids so could be present in the water.
