The past weekend.19.7.2015.

The past weekend saw some of the members going to the Colwyn Bay Show and some staying home for the monthly steering competition!.
I received these pictures from the Vice Commodore David and thank you for these David from all of us who couldn't attend for one reason or another!.

I've spoken to Colin who went with his wife Pam and he really enjoyed the day, nice weather, nice company and rounded it off by staying over at Llandudno until the Monday!
The only disappointment  he said was No trade stalls this year!.
I think this is the last year on this lake as they are in the process of moving to the big lake in the park soon.

On the home front the steering competition was a bit of a challenge with a strong wind getting up as soon as the course was set up, usually the way hey, strong wind for the steering guys and none on Fiesta Sunday's.
Continuing his success with his yacht sailing Donald had his first clear round on the steering this month!, so look out chaps he's getting too good!.

That's it for today, folks.

Over the weekend 14th-15th March 2015

Over the weekend there wasn't a lot going on Saturday, Jonathan was there with his Dad and had his repaired Tug on the water, His Carer had dropped it on a previous visit!!.
Dad, David had made a nice job of repairing the smashed bows and it went well on the water again until the steering went awry,
It turned out to be a missing screw on the steering servo, not a real problem.

The Sunday Steering was not as popular this Sunday perhaps some were visiting their Mothers!.

Whilst on the round of the lakes saw one of our members (Richard) who races his Fiesta yacht on the Fiesta racing Sunday normally), on his real yacht and having a good time with the nice breeze on the day!.

After a walk round the lakes returned to find John Goddard there with his fast electric's.
Didn't try to video them as they are too fast and freezing hands don't help.

Gives you some idea of their speed if you haven't see them on the lake.

John's novel wheeled stand

As you can see made mostly with kitchen waste pipe, saves carrying it doesn't it, nice one John!.

Monday I was at the lake and was surprised to see some members of the committee there in the cafe, waiting out the rain which was quite heavy, they said they were going to try out the new large Gazebo the club has bought and here is a sneak preview,

Big hey!, going to send me some pictures when they've  finished sorting it out!.
