Ellesmere show, Part 3.
Abell Bob's pictures and comments on the show, friends/visitors he knew!.
This is Paul Thomason (in Blue) and his Grandson Ryan.......A budding boat modeller in the making Paul has designed quite a few classic models......Lady Joyce, Ellie, Brutus, Thor, Red Leader, Sea Spray.......etc His plans are still available
Typical Ellesmere sailing area
This must take some setting up?
And dismantling later!
Well done Ellesmere Model Boat Club
What a difference, a bit of sun makes?
Spot our Club Blog Master, talking the socks off some poor EMBC member
Only pulling your leg, Duckie
In fact, the chap he was talking to, had built a chunky Tugboat and only fitted a 500 motor!
Needless to say, the wind won!
Views around the Trade Stands and clubs
Duckie is a keen Eddie Stobart spotter and has been waiting about five years now,
hoping to see his departed wife's name, Velda driving down the road......Any time now
He fancies making a similar model, but the cost is a discouraging factor!
Bob spotted this old pulpit and gave us a little talk on building chunky boats!
Spotted a group of old pals from Colwyn Bay Club, enjoying Bob's chunky boat building talk........
They will be pleased to be included in the blog though!
That's our Dave the Fiesta man on the right.
Spotted another old friend off the Model Boats forum
Neil Harvey Pritchard.............No relation to Drew (the salvage hunter)
Hey Neil!............Paul's looking for you.
A view through the square window Visitors are allowed to board the boats.
I think we've seen enough of the show now?
Found Paul later and gave him the Brutus model for safe keeping
We've had a nice day today and will be back next year
