Sunny Sunday, 8.5.2016.

Today at the lake it was a beautiful sunny day and the was no shortage of public watchers with their usual questions "how fast will it go!" and "how much does it cost", still that's how we all started I suppose!.

David was there as usual with one of his large fleet, and there's Eric "What No boat!", though he did have his Fiesta out earlier, but quickly recovered it when a young family came sailing with the usual energetic children sailing a bit erratically!.

Eric and Dave.
Can tell its getting warmer, David dispenses with his socks!.

There was Donald bookended by the Higham brothers,

Alan on the left was sailing another of his fleet a nice Fibre Glass launch ,
A nice little runner and so quiet it didn't even disturb the ducks,

And its for sale, the boat not the Duck!,
Nice compact water tight compartment, competent with all the electrics and battery.

Comes ready to sail with its own 2.4 gig transmitter as well, just charge the batter and away you go!.
Check out the "For Sale" section tab at the top of the page"!.

About 14 inches long and not too heavy, so ideal for the older or infirm sailor!.

Happy families!
The ducks seem to have got used to the anti duck strings, but there again it was the Geese that were the problem with their poo!, the ducks seem to be toilet trained.

Al the Comm would like to thank Ray Benson and members of the Colwyn Bay Club for their nice offer to let our club members use their waters when in the area, as stated in the previous post.

Is it Spring? March 2016.

Is it Spring? March 2016.

Today at the lake there was plenty of sailors in attendance, the sun must have brought some more out to increase the numbers, fair weather sailors perhaps but there again who am I to speak as I tend to only sail in the Spring and Summer.
You have to admire those dedicated members that turn out at every opportunity and then I don't think people realise at the Awards Night the dedication that's gone into their winning their trophies.

Today there was a few Tugs on the water,

Eric Prestley's (no relation) Retriever.

Garth's 'Meander' Like the deck clutter!.

Their Captains, on lunch break.

The yachts and their sailors.
As you can see they are still wrapped up against the cold wind on this corner!.

Then there was Rob with one of his Aziz,s or should the plural be Azizii!, I'll bet my Proof reader Bob will correct me on that, Hey Bob.
No problem giving Robb a bit of advertising, see the shipping containers on the back

Don't forget to keep you eye on the 'For sale' section, you don't want to miss a bargain I'm sure.

2016 Diary and new clothing prices

2016 Diary and new clothing prices.

Please find the 2016 diary of events and shows in the top tabs!
Also there are a number of items in the clothing section that have changed, these are not extortionate but I guess reflected by the prices we have to pay for said items from manufacturers!.

Have you checked the "For Sale" section recently or are you still suffering from the terrible weather we have been having lately, there are a few nice new entries in there!.
We have been more fortunate that some of our friends in other clubs who have suffered from the terrible flooding of late, our thoughts go out to them and hope for a speedy return to normality.
I have been suffering from a heavy cold and bad chest recently but getting better now so will be back to the lake with the camera shortly, being this time of year though I don't think I've missed much!, though I'm sure the TT (Tuesday/Thursday) members have been at the lake well wrapped up and sailing as usual!.
Thank you all that have been asking about my absence and giving me a call at home much appreciated.

Here are some pictures of yesteryear to put you on until the better weather.

Geoff giving one of his excellent talks

The arrival of the container.

A tricky bit of the new landing stage edging strip.
The strings for keeping off the geese has prove excellent and the landing stage has never been cleaner.

Bob the Builders Slo Mo 2.

The docking station.

Our stage at the Poynton Show, another good venue we will no doubt be revisiting in the future!.

A visitor to our lake recently, A Bean Goose, just passing through and checking out our beautiful venue no doubt!.

Well that's it for now, hopefully the weather will be picking up soon and we will get together at the lake in the near future!.
